All the repair shops buy wholesale from the retail auto parts stores. They negotiate discounts based on the volume of business they do at the parts store. Generally you need to be doing a volume business and buying thousands of dollars in parts. Many times the retail prices are already so competitive that they’re hard to beat because the parts are being sold in such large quantities.
