Question–: how do you tell the difference between a fake jimmy choo bag and a real one?
I saw a fake jimmy choo bag in a market which sells fake goods and it looked exactly the same as the real one. Could someone please tell me how I can tell the difference between a genuine piece and a fake.

Some things to check for are flimsy or mismatched hardware, cheap leather (or even imitation leather) and misspelled logos. Also pay attention to poor stitching, misspelled information on the inside tags, Those are clear giveaways. Also, look at the price. If it’s an unbelievably low number, then it is most likely a fake. However, high numbers close to the actual price can obviously still be fakes as well.
Also, the point of origin tag is important to check. If ANY handbag has a ‘Made in Taiwan’ tag, it is most definitely fake. On a similar note, all authentic bags come with the proper documentation. If the seller can’t provide that to you, then (whether or not it’s fake) you shouldn’t buy it.
Next, take into account WHERE you’re buying it. Unless the point of purchase is a retail store or an authorized reseller, there’s no guarantee the bag is authentic. And if you’re buying it from somewhere that is known to produce fakes, like the market you went to, for instance, or New York City’s Canal Street, then it most likely is a fake.
Oh, and one of my favorite facts is that on Louis Vuitton Multicolor bags, if there’s a red LV then it’s a fake. Of all the colors on the bag, there is no red LV. And also, Louis Vuitton Speedys are made with one continuous piece of canvas, so one side should have upside down LV logos. And no Speedys have metal feet on the bottom of the bag.
AND… When in doubt, bring your bag to the designer’s boutique and ask them to check it. They’ll do it for free and immediately let you know its authenticity.
