www.bottegaveneta.com Bottega Veneta presents its Spring-Summer 2011 Men’s ready-to-wear collection, continuing its exploration of the space in a man’s wardrobe between casual and formal. The collection is breezy but focused, balanced between the technical rigor of athletic apparel and the refined technique of classically tailored men’s wear. “The collection is about performance and possibility,” says Creative Director Tomas Maier. “It’s about what happens when you combine materials and techniques in new ways. We started from tailoring, because that is what defines a silhouette. From there, the options are endless. It becomes a question of personal style.”

I like some of the pieces but I think they could use a little more spunk and a lot less gay. Some of those shorts are way to short for a man. The sandals are pretty nice. Those are in at the time. I think the models could’ve had better walks though.

@pigs1970 your just a cheap ass! $500 for a shirt isn’t bad at all! I once paid $1700 for a tailored YSL top!

    Yes jambrandon531,
Bottega Veneta is very expensive. As a top-tier Italian Luxury Label an off-the-rack man’s shirt can be had for $480.00 USD. A pair of leather sandals (as shown with socks) a “mere” $620.00. I don’t know how much a suit or sport coat would “go for”. Maybe $2000.00 plus?

  4. jambrandon531 says:

@pigs1970 is this stuff that expensive

  5. pigs1970 says:

Tomas Maier is impressive as the creative force behind Bottega Veneta. Under his guidance the Italian luxury goods label produces some of the most innovative and wearable clothes money can buy. I personally would like to own all the clothes shown in this collection. If only I was fantastically rich!
